The Film
Rambo 3 begins with old friend Col Trautman seeking out the now Buddhist John Rambo to accompany him on a mission behind Soviet lines in Afghanistan. Rambo initially refuses, however when Col Trautman is captured by the Russian Colonel Zaysen, John Rambo ventures on an unofficial rescue mission to free his friend. With the help of some Mujahedeen rebels, Rambo works his way into the Soviet camp, and from this point on, Zaysen realises he has a fight on his hands.
