The Film
Arguably the best action film of all time, Commando begins with the retired Colonel John Matrix and his daughter Jenny enjoying their new life together in a mountain lodge under their new identities. This is however short lived when the exiled Latin American dictator Arius, kidnaps Jenny in a bid to force Matrix to assassinate the president of Arius’ country to secure her release. However John Matrix isn’t convinced he’ll keep his word and escapes from his escort on the plane as it takes off, and a race against time begins to rescue his kidnapped daughter before the plane lands and his plan is exposed.
